I had the pleasure to meet Forrest a couple of years ago, when he came to district 9 to help us mark timber for a salvage operation. I only knew him for a couple of weeks, but it doesn't take long to recognize a great person when you meet them. Forrest was the best of people, and I'm sure the rest of his family was too. He spoke of them often. It was crushing news to hear of this tragedy, and my heart goes out to all of their family and friends. I feel how hard it must be.
They now walk down the path we will all walk down some day, but at least they walk it together. God bless you Forrest and Family.

The words escape me with such a tragedy. My daughters timberlees best friend Megan is now and angel in heaven now. Hearing Taylor say they were my favorite little friends.... As the tears rolled down her face. Brooke with the cutest smile with no front teeth all year. Thier parents always had the biggest, proudest smiles on thier faces at all the school events as if to say " that's my girls up there on stage." I know you all will rest in piece and will be walking the streets of gold now, but how nice it would be to have you all here on earth walking the streets with us. I give my deepest sympathies to both families in the wake of this tragedy. Forrest and Sue were a very large part of my teenage life and I have nothing but fond memories of them. I know they were wonderful people who produced a loving family. They will forever be missed.

To the kid who came with Dad to Huntingdon to go hunting with me. And the girl he said he was going to marry. The girls who were their life. Megans scare that turned out to be cat scratch fever. And Brookies kindergarten Doctor visit where Sue had to get shots too. To the late night up reading of the books and getting lost in her stories. We will miss you all. Heaven just got 4 more angels.

They were such a loving family. I am very good friends of Susan sister Tina. I just remember doing different things with their family growing up and Susan always had a smile on her face. She never said any thing negitive to anyone. She was such a delight to be around. I am very sadden by this wonderful family taken so soon. I think it is great that they lived their life to the fullest every day. I can really say that heaven got 4 great angles. To their family and friends I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I met forrest thru my husband, they worked together, he quickly became my buddy , we talked daily and i always had a load of emails from forrest. Susan was wonderful she always had a smile. and the girls i can remember the first time they came to my home it was like they had been here for many times. Dave and i still feel the hurt and pain from losing you all. But we know someday we will see you guys again. Until then my buddy save a joke for me. as i always ended my emails with forrest love ya JO. miss you guys so much. forever you guys will be in our hearts.

Even though I did not know Forrest and Susan personally, I can recall seeing Susan and her family come in to the local pizza shop. Such a beautiful family. I spent several summers at the Stitely home as a kid. I have fond memories of cutting paths through the woods to ride the three wheeler on and trying over and over to build a fort out of wood we found in the trees. I wasn't the best behaved kid but Forrest and his family were kind and patient people that I learned a lot from. Rest in peace.

I didn't know the family, but it sure looks like the lived life to the fullest. It is heartbreaking as I watched the photo album. I heard Susan speak at a luncheon the Friends of the Huntingdon County Library gave for a group of self-published authors several years ago. She was passionate about her writing, and she glowed while signing books at her table. I left my card with a friend of hers, who was taking pictures, but Susan and I never connected to talk writing, not even at WalMart, where I always looked for her.

Our hearts go out to the families in their time of sorrow. You have my deepest sympathies on the death of your loved ones. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy. Susie always had a smile from ear to ear and as I think back of all the times spent with her growing up there were not many times that she was not laughing or smiling at the world.
