My Husband Mike and I stayed at the Top Hills cabins for about 15 years. We loved staying at the Sunburst Cabin that Larry beautifully built. He was always so helpful to his guests. I think every year we troubled him about how to work the satelite telvevision which he explained time and again.
We will miss seeing Larry ride by on his gator on our visit there next year. He was a very talented person and will be missed.

Many good memories I have of staying at the cabins with our families, playing poker, Texas Hold-em, or ones my sisters like to play.. Also, that he was always a hard and smart worker. You will be remembered for what you have accomplished in your life.
God Bless

I met Larry and Lois thru business and simply fell in love with their passion to have a business in the forest. 16 years I had the pleasure of working with them and it was amazing to grow in business with them. He was always a shrewd business man and with Lois by his side they made and amazing team.

We mourn the loss of my husband, Larry, whose affection shaped lives and shines within us. Larry was a story-teller and his stories will be remembered and repeated time after time. As a generous man, Larry was a wonderful companion in this journey of life. Honoring him is indeed a privilege even as we say good-bye. Larry is and will be missed dearly.

When I think of Larry, I think of a great man. Son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, veteran, and friend to many. My husband Mike and I met Larry and Lois in Cook Forest having owned a similar business. We became very good friends over the years. Whether visiting at home or in Florida, we always had a great time. Oh the laughs!!! We were fortunate to share the same political views, so that was always a fun and charged subject! When I first met Larry, he didn’t much like hugs, but after some time I think he grew to enjoy them. Our hearts are broken and we will miss him terribly. Hugs to you our friend Larry. Prayers of peace and comfort to you Lois and all the family. Mike and Cheryl McMurray❤️

Ooh Mr Larry where do I start. I worked for you but you was much more than just a boss. Your a near and dear friend. I'm sure gonna miss our talks. And you asking how's my boy Sylas doing? He's gonna miss you too. You taught all of us so much. Best boss I've ever worked for. We love and miss you so much. Rest easy Ole man. Until we see you again.

Larry was a very kind and generous brother in law. He always welcomed our family to the cabins for family get togethers. We will always remember Larry.
The picture is of our brothers and sisters together in the forest thanks to Larry and Lois’s generosity.

Larry was a great man and wonderful neighbor. Loved his random visits just chat or share an in-site (usually political) or two. He always had an opinion and was very helpful at times. Going to miss hearing his truck or gator roaring up and down the street. Rest in peace my friend. Love and prayers to Lois and Family.

Larry gave me work in the summer of 2023 at Top Hill Cabins. I've struggled with health issues and working for him helped my health so much. I was active and he taught me a lot of things about property maintenance work. It was a good opportunity because it allowed me to do honorable work that served people. It was peaceful working up there by Cooks Forest, taking care of the land and property.
Larry was a hard working man, despite struggling to breathe he'd be out around the property doing work. He was a generous man as well and seemed like an honorable man.
Praying for you Larry. Thank you so much. I hope your breathing is better now.

Larry is someone I have always admired. He was so smart and worked so hard. But more than that, he always dared to be true to his thoughts and values. He felt strongly about what he believed and never faltered from what he held. That's to be admired!
He will be missed by his local community and certainly our family. We were blessed the day he and Lois were married. Larry was always generous and willing to help whoever he could.
Love and God's Peace,
Brenda Haws

Larry was the greatest man I have ever known. I loved Larry, he was like a father to me. He was a good man. A strong man that loved to work and build things for other people to enjoy. He was kind and had a big heart. I loved to see him smile and hear him laugh. I am grateful for the things he taught me, the good times I had with him and Lois. I will never forget you Larry. Thank you for being such a bright light in my life.
