Obituary of Virginia E Judy

Virginia E. Judy (Ginny), 82, residing in Charlotte, NC, passed away early in the morning on Monday, July 2, 2018. She had been in the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Medical Center following complications related to Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Virginia was born on January 28, 1936 to the late Aloysius and Catherine (Griebel) Zacherl of Clarion, PA.

She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1954. After graduating, she worked at Selected Risk Insurance Company in Clarion, PA.

Virginia married Richard A. Judy (who survives) on May 18, 1957, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion, PA. Ginny and Dick resided in Lucinda, PA and raised 4 daughters: Susan, Donna, Jane and Karen.

After her children started school, Ginny worked as a bank teller at Northwest Bank and then Mellon Bank in Clarion, PA. She was a longtime resident of Lucinda, PA and extremely involved in her parish at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a talented singer and was an avid quilter, baker, crafter and gardener. She cared for her aging parents and frequently visited many of her aging aunts and uncles. She was a devout Catholic whose faith carried her through the tough times.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Richard, and her daughters: Susan Reynolds and her husband Eric of Huntington Beach, CA; Donna Goff, of Pineville, NC; and Karen Willis and her husband Scott of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Jane and Christopher Reynolds, Joshua and Jeremy Goff, and Elliot Jane Willis; and her sisters: Dottie Snyder, Mary Grace Ziroli, Patty Gates, and Bernadette Newlon; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Bobby Zacherl, Rita Paddock, and Eddie Zacherl and her daughter Jane Judy.

Family and friends may call on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home at 32936 Route 66 in Leeper, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda, PA with the Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, pastor, as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
