Obituary of Ernest Robert McDaniel

Ernest Robert (Bob) McDaniel, 71, of Kossuth, died Monday evening, November 7, 2016 at Shippenville Healthcare after an illness. Born August 22, 1945 in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late Ernest Robert, Sr. and Helen Regina Eisel McDaniel. He married the former Wanda J. Crankshaw on February 12, 1966 at the Angelical Church in Fern and she survives. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Bob was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God of Alcoa. He is survived by 4 sons: Bruce McDaniel and his wife, Gwen of Hawthorne; Ernie McDaniel and his wife, Sue of Leeper; Steven McDaniel of Shippenville and Brian McDaniel of Morrisdale. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Bruce McDaniel, Hope Clemens, Regina Himes, Mitchel McDaniel, Elizabeth McDaniel, Holly McDaniel, Taylor McDaniel, Dillon Kahle, Cody McDaniel and Noah McDaniel. In addition he is survived by 3 great grandchildren: Thomas Himes, Bree Himes and Atalie Kahle. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Nicewonger. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Church of God in Alcoa with Rev. Mike Hicks, officiating. Interment will follow at the Trinity Cemetery at Fern at a later date.
