Mabel F. Maier, 81, of Crown, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family on Thursday afternoon, November 26, 2015. Born October 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances (Angelelli) Moschetta.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Maier. They were married on October 13, 1956 in Pittsburgh.
May was an office clerk for Liberty Baking in Pittsburgh and was an advertising agent for Sparkle Markets in Pittsburgh, which became Loblaws, where May was the coordinator for the meat and produce departments. She also was an office assistant for Dr. McHugh in Etna and for American Medical Supply Company in Pittsburgh.
She was a member of The Christian Church of North America and a member of the Eastern Star of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her husband, May is survived by a son, Kent D. Maier and his wife, Cheryl of Glenshaw, PA and a daughter, Cindy Burns and her husband, Bill of Park City, Utah. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Rebecca L. Maier of Glenshaw, PA.
In accordance with May's wishes, services were held privately.
The family suggests gestures of sympathy be made as charitable donations to Disabled Veterans' organizations.
