Obituary of Miriam Lucille Thompson

Miriam Lucille Thompson, "Mimi", 63 of Tionesta was granted her angels wings on June 24, 2013 in Durham, North Carolina. Born July 30, 1949 in Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late Harold H. and Louise Ross Hudson. She was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School. She married Donald L. Thompson Jr. on March 1, 1976 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2008. Mimi loved: animals, gardening, photography and traveling the world with her mother and sister Jean. Her family will always remember Mimi as a quiet, kind and gentle woman. Mimi was devoted to her family who will miss her always. Mrs. Thompson is survived by: a daughter, Julie Andrews and her husband Rick, of Oxford North Carolina, a son Steven Thompson of Newmansville and her grandchildren Ricky and Tyler Andrews, Brenna and Brittney Thompson. In addition she is survived by her sisters Jean Masco of Lakeway, Texas, Mary MacKay of Leeper, her brother Harold B Hudson and his wife, Helen of Export, and many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Borland Funeral Home Inc. in Leeper. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Andy Blyston, Pastor of the Tylersburg Charge U.M. Churches, officiating. Interment will be in Amity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the North Shore Animal League 25 David Avenue Port Washington, NY 11050, in remembrance of Mimi's great love for animals.
