Obituary of George Isaac Heasley

George Isaac (Ike) Heasley, 77, of North Lima, Ohio died early Friday morning, May 17, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. Born April 10, 1936 in Leeper, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry E. (Hack) and Helen G. Frill Heasley. Ike served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a branch manager for Lance, Inc., retiring in 1995. He was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in North Lima, Ohio. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things and taking care of his family. Ike is survived by the mother of his children, Becky McCarty of North Lima Ohio and his 4 children: Marcia Hawkins (Ben) of North Lima, Ohio; John Heasley, (Lisa Pavel) of Boardman, Ohio; Gary Heasley (Julie) of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Christopher Heasley (Olga) of Houston, Texas. He is survived by 7 brothers and sisters: Dorothy Regina of Marienville, Pa; Norman Heasley (Betty) of Leeper, Pa; Maxine Alabaugh( Jack) of Kane, Pa; Mildred Cussins (Gerald) of Marienville, Pa; Nancy Zacherl of Shippenville, Pa; Robert Heasley (Esther) of Tylersburg, Pa. and Richard Heasley (Marcia) of Leeper, Pa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Ryan Stepan, Craig Stepan, Jenna Stepan, Nicole Heasley, Nicole Zenn, Jeffrey Heasley, Samuel Heasley, Katherine Heasley, Abriana Heasley and George Isaac Heasley. In addition, he is survived by a great grandson, Carter Stepan. He also leaves behind his beloved pet Jack. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper, Pa. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Edwards and Rev. Gregory Passauer, officiating. Interment will follow in the Dehner Cemetery with military honors. A memorial service will also be held for friends and family in the Youngstown area on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 7pm with Rev. Ralph Edwards officiating at the Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market Street, North Lima, Ohio.
