Obituary of Ralph J. Judy

Ralph J. Judy, 84, of Lucinda, died early Saturday morning, July 14, 2012 at Golden Living-Shippenville. Born November 29, 1927 in Lucinda, he was the son of the late Jerome J., Sr. and Irene P. Schmader Judy.
Mr. Judy was married to his first wife, Joanne Carolyn Neal on September 27, 1952 and she preceded him in death in March 1993. He married Veronica (Bonnie) Carroll Judy on May 14, 1994 and she survives.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army during WW II as a supply clerk. He retired from Oil Well Supply in 1984 after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Knights of St. George.
Ralph enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making and traveling.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Ralph is survived by 2 step-children: Kimberly C. Pfaff and her husband, James of Shippenville and Patrick A. Carroll II and his wife, Shirley of Lucinda. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Grace A. Ochs; Richard A. Judy and his wife, Virginia; Ruth M. Lander and Jerome J. (Jerry) Judy and his wife, Donna, all of Lucinda. He is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Judy was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 on Monday, July 16, at Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 17, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda with Rev. William C. Miller, pastor of the church, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.
