Obituary of Rosella Ditz

Rosella "Rosie" Ditz, 84, formally of Leeper, died Wednesday evening, March 7, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Clarion. Born August 18, 1927 in Verona PA, she was the daughter of John and Mary Vrbencic Crkvenac. She married Harold Ditz on February 28, 1949; Mr. Ditz preceded her in death on June 9, 2005.
Mrs. Ditz retired from Clarion University where she worked for 10 years with plant services. She enjoyed cooking and making special treats for her grandchildren. She loved art and music and especially polkas.
Mrs. Ditz is survived by 2 daughters: Rose Groner and her husband Bill of Tionesta and Lorie Irwin and her husband Dan of Leeper. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Kuntz, of Tionesta and 4 sisters-in-law: Betty Lou Ditz of Ohio, Donna Ditz of Ohio, Madeline Ditz of Fryburg, and Rosalie Ditz of Michigan. Mrs. Ditz is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Rich Wilson, Randy Wilson, Rusty Wilson, Roxanne Wilson McFarland, Chad Irwin, Tommi Irwin and Kert Irwin. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and she was looking forward too great twins that are expected at the end of May. Mrs. Ditz had many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband Mrs. Ditz is preceded in death by 2 half brothers: John Crkvenac and Pete Prelog and a sister Elizabeth "Libby" Eck.
There will be no visitation. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Borland Funeral Home Inc., Leeper.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Richter, pastor of Greenwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
