Obituary of Vivian A. Weiser

Vivian A. Weiser, 88, of Lucinda, died Monday evening, October 17, 2011 at her home after an extended illness. Born December 2, 1922 in Lucinda, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Lorene Gatesman Schmader.
She married Paul H. Weiser on June 19, 1947 at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2008. They enjoyed 60 happy years together.
Mrs. Weiser was a housewife. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda and a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed watching RFD T.V., listening to polka music on Sunday morning, sitting on her front porch enjoying her flowers and gardening.
Mrs. Weiser is survived by 2 daughters and 1 son: Donna Moore and her husband, Walter, Jr. (Tink) of Leeper, Jeffrey Weiser and his wife, Darlene of Lucinda and Lori Hollis and her husband, Randy of Lucinda. She is also survived by a brother, Lawrence Schmader and his wife, Evelyn of Lucinda, and 2 sisters, Jean Lutz of Lucinda and Nancy Snyder of Marienville. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Joyce Schmader of Lucinda. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, Steven Moore, Melissa Anderson, Eric Weiser, Dustin Weiser, Brandon Weiser, Andrea Borland and Ashley Hollis. Six great grandchildren also survive: Kaitlyn Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Ava Grace Moore, Alex Moore, Amber Moore and Maylin Rae Weiser.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Weiser was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Donald, Kenneth, Edwin and Rupert Schmader. She was also preceded in death by 1 great grandchild, Grace Ann Moore.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, with Rev. William C. Miller, pastor of the church, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice.
