Obituary of Blaine A. Henry

Blaine A. Henry, 74, of Scotch Hill Drive, Leeper, died Thursday August 18, 2011, at Golden LivingCenter-Shippenville after a lengthy illness. Born April 29, 1937 in Farmington Township, he was the son of the late Blair and Alva Craft Henry. He married the former Barbara G. Guthrie on April 9, 1988 at Clear Creek State Park and she survives.
Mr. Henry worked as a mechanic for Rice Equipment in Clarion for over 30 years. He retired from Tom's Sales and Service in Clarion. He attended Scotch Hill United Methodist Church and was a member of the Forest County Sportsman's Club in Marienville. He enjoyed watching NASCAR on television and hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Henry is survived by the following children: Blaine A. (Butch) Henry of Hydetown, Pam Henry of Hubbard, OH, Marie Silsbe of Hubbard, OH, Gary Henry and his wife, Patty of Leeper, Todd Henry and his wife, Cecelia of Leeper, Jannifer Wick and her husband, Kevin of Okinawa, Japan and Mark Deitz and his wife, Patt of Clarion. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lewis Henry. He was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Wayne, a brother, Harold and a sister, Elsie Fye.
Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Scotch Hill United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Scotch Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Hurst, pastor of Tylersburg Charge United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will be in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
The family suggests memorials be made to Scotch Hill United Methodist Church.
