Obituary of Christopher J. Bowen

Christopher J. Bowen, 39, of Tylersburg, died Wednesday afternoon, June 29, 2011 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Born April 9, 1972, in Clarion, he was the son of Larry D. and Cynthia M. Tritten Bowen. Chris graduated from North Clarion High School. He was a member of Scotch Hill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed 4-wheelers, his dog "Pepper" and watching wrestling. In addition to his parents, Larry and Cindy, he is survived by a sister, Lori Bowen and her fianc Mike Goodman of Tylersburg. He is survived by his paternal grandfather, David Bowen of Leeper and 2 nephews, Eric and Tyler Goodman. In addition, he is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Phyllis Bowen and his Maternal Grandparents Herbert and Cecelia Tritten. Friends and family may call from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 on Friday, July 1, at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Hurst, pastor of Tylersburg Charge United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will follow in the Scotch Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Scotch Hill United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
