Obituary of Doris R. Marshall

Doris R. Marshall, 83, of Leeper, died early Friday morning, June 24, 2011 at Golden Living in Shippenville. Born June 2, 1928 in Ludlow, PA, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Elsie Barlett Carbaugh. She married Vaughn R. Marshall on July 21, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1998. Mrs. Marshall was an antique dealer with her husband for 27 years. She was a member of Tylersburg United Methodist Church. Mrs. Marshall is survived by a daughter, Barbara Becker and her husband, George of Leeper and a son, Douglas Marshall and his wife, Carol also of Leeper. She is also survived by a brother, Roger Carbaugh of Tionesta. In addition she is survived by 3 grandchildren, Angela Fye, Michelle Asel and Brian Becker and 5 great grandchildren, Justina and Gary Fye, Emily and Brayden Becker, and Legend Asel. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Neil Carbaugh, Carl Carbaugh and Ronald Carbaugh. The family will receive friends from 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 27, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Evans, Hospice Chaplain for Clarion-Forest VNA, officiating. Interment will follow in the Tylersburg Cemetery. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Clarion Forest VNA Hospice Program.
