Obituary of Brian J. Wolbert

Brian J. Wolbert, 50, of Tidioute, and formerly of Vowinckel, died suddenly, Friday afternoon, December 24, 2010, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Born March 23, 1960 in Clarion, he was the son of Vincent A. and Nina L. Grubbs Wolbert of Vowinckel.
Brian married the former Julie Dashner on September 17, 1988 and she survives.
Brian was a graduate of North Clarion High School and worked at Ellwood National Forge in Irvine. He was a Lifetime Social Member of Pequinot-Yeager Post 8803 of the VFW, Tidioute Bucktails, Sheffield Rod & Gun Club, Clarion Canine Obedience Club and Therapy Dogs International. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wildlife photography, camping and agility training his 3 Shelties, Buddy, Rascal and Belle.
In addition to his parents and wife, Brian is survived by 2 sisters, Linda Hollis and her husband, Denny of Wolf's Corners and Dixie Dunkerly of St. Petersburg and a sister-in-law, Linda Wolbert of Brockway. He is survived by numerous aunt and uncles and nieces and nephews.
Brian was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Vincent (Butch) Wolbert and his twin, Bradley Wolbert; a brother-in-law, John Dunkerly and his grandparents, Marion and Edla Cochran.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 7-9 on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Mary Church in Crown, with Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
