Carol A. Foyer, 71, of Oil City, died suddenly, Monday afternoon, October 11, 2010 at her home. Born February 23, 1939 in Oil City, she was the daughter of Judson T. and Mildred M. Reis Wilson. She was married to William E. Foyer at Christ Lutheran Church Oil City on June 20, 1959.
Mrs. Foyer worked for Foster Forbes Glass in Rouseville as a secretary in the payroll department. She retired from A.Crivelli Chevrolet in Reno after 13 years of service. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. She was a life member of the following clubs: VFW Women's Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, PNA, and the Pulaski Club, where she enjoyed her bowling for over 40 years. She also played softball in the 70's for Oil City Glass.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Foyer is survived by 3 sons: David Foyer and Cindy Sanders of Sugar Grove, PA, Michael Foyer of Franklin and Timothy Foyer of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by a cousin, Phillip Copley and his wife, Lori of Oil City, with whom she was raised. She is survived by 3 grandchildren: Sarah Foyer of Titusville and Joshua and Jillian Foyer, both of Hydetown and a great granddaughter, Emma Beach of Titusville. She is also survived by 3 nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Daum.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Phillip Scherr, pastor of Good Hope Lutheran Church, officiating.
