Obituary of Frederic D. Griebel

Fredric (Fred) David Griebel, 54, of Lucinda, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his home. Born May 18, 1956 in Brookville, he was the son of James A. and Marie G. Kozuh Griebel. Mr. Griebel graduated from North Clarion High School. He worked for Glass Containers in Marienville until 1982. He then attended nursing school at Jamison in New Castle. He had worked at Clarion Hospital since graduating from nursing school. Mr. Griebel was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and the Antler Club of Lucinda. He enjoyed hunting and photography. Mr. Griebel is survived by a brother, George Griebel and his wife, Kathy of Lucinda. He is also survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece, Robert Griebel, Tiffany Griebel and her fiancée, Mike Young and Andy Griebel and his wife, Carrie, all of Lucinda. He is also survived by a grand niece, Brianna Griebel, also of Lucinda. Mr. Griebel was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda with Rev. William C. Miller, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Joseph Church in Lucinda.
