It is with great sadness to announce that Larry D. Bowen, 77, of Tylersburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Butler Hospital.

He was born on June 18, 1948, in Lickingville, PA to the late David L. Bowen and Phyllis B. Snyder Bowen. Larry had graduated from North Clarion High School class of 1966.

Larry married the love of his life, Cynthia Tritten, on June 19, 1971, at St. Michael's Church in Emlenton.

Larry was an exceptional mechanic, big or small, he could fix it all. He had worked at Glacier Minerals, IA Construction and owned his own garage from 1979 to 1986. He was employed at Maple Mountain in Frogtown for the remainder of his working years and retired from there.

Larry could always be found tinkering in his garage when he was not at work. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and dog. Larry was also a member of Scotch Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, Larry is survived by a daughter, Lori Bowen-Goodman and her husband Michael of Lickingville; a grandson Eric Goodman; siblings: Margaret Slaugenhoup and her husband Doug of Strattanville, PA, Richard Bowen and his wife JoAnn of Leeper, PA, Steven Bowen and his wife Anna of Lucinda, PA and Michael Bowen and his wife Peg of Leeper, PA; an aunt, Lois Scott of Marienville, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a son Christopher Bowen, and a grandson Tyler Michael Goodman.

A memorial service will be held for Larry on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00am at Scotch Hill United Methodist Church, 369 Scotch Hill Drive, Leeper, PA with Pastor Melissa Kraus, as officiant. Inurnment will take place following the service in Scotch Hill Cemetery.
