Donald B. Loll Obituary

Donald B. Loll, 94, of Lucinda, PA entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 30, 2026, surrounded by his family.


Don was born in Lucinda on February 20, 1932, to the late Floyd J. and Mable F. (Cook) Loll.


He graduated from St. Joseph School in Lucinda. Don enlisted in the United States Army, where he served 4 ½ years. He began his service in Erie, PA on April 7, 1949, until he was honorably discharged on October 31, 1953, at Port George Meade in Maryland. During his time served he earned the rank of Corporal T. and the Occupation Medal for his time served in Germany.


On January 20, 1959, Don married Patricia C. Schmader at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, PA by Fr. Hall. They shared sixty-seven blissful years together, building a wonderful life together.


Don worked for North Penn Gas Company for 30 years, where he was a supervisor before retiring. He loved to travel. Don took Patty on numerous cruises, they also visited other countries including Europe, Spain, and Portugal. Don and Patty had also taken a trip out west. Don and Patty became snowbirds about 30 years ago and purchased a home in Pine Lakes Florida. While spending his time there, Don was in the Pine Lakes Men's Club, doing honorable deeds in society.


You could always find Don outdoors, he loved to mow his lawn and gardening, keeping it well-manicured. While relaxing from maintaining his lawn, he was still doing outdoor activities including golf and hunting. Don also loved to read, he especially enjoyed reading western novels. He liked to play Euchre; he was quite a card shark. Don also enjoyed his sweets; he always had baked goods. Don loved spending time with his family, he truly lived a great life.


Don is survived by his wife, Patty; his children: Deborah Hoover of Shippenville, PA, Donna Stouffer and her husband Don of Lucinda, PA, Linda Kotula and her husband John of East Berlin, PA and Bernie Loll and his wife Mary of Seneca, PA; grandchildren: Heather Pertz, April (Martin) MacKanlay, Holly (Tony) Dechant, Jason (Denise) Hoover, D. Samuel (Caitlin) Stouffer, Hannah Stouffer, Rachel (Chuck) Thurner-Diaz, John Michael Kotula, Erica (Michael) McGuire, and Justin (Kayla) Loll; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a daughter in-law, Teresa Loll and her children of Texas.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Vogelbacher, a son Andrew Loll, a son in law Robert Hoover, and his siblings: Catherine (David) Zacherl, Florence (John) O'Neill, Edward (Florence) Loll, Virginia (Charles) Griesbaum, Verena (Peter) Gowa, and William (Sonya) Loll.


A funeral mass will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, PA with the Rev. John Nwankwo, pastor, as celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of the Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper, PA.
