Dixie L. Schrum, 87, of Clarion, PA passed away at Clarion Nursing and Rehabilitation on Monday, April 6, 2026.

Dixie was born in Marienville, PA on October 8, 1938, to the late Clement S. and Mabel Velma (Kaness) Gesin.

On September 18, 1954, Dixie married the love of her life, William L. Schrum. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1996.

Dixie was a homemaker all her life raising their children. She was a fun-loving woman, a woman who was never afraid to be a little silly, always up for a good laugh with a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

Christopher Schrum and his wife Darlene of Oil City, PA, Bradley Schrum and his companion Mari of Youngstown, FL and Wanda Stitt and her husband, Todd of (Lake Lucy, PA; grandchildren: Krystal Schrum, Natalie Schrum and Ashley (Dalyn) Thomas; great granddaughters: Kelly and Breanna Weilacher; great-great grandsons: Carter and Oliver.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dixie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Schrum, a brother Dick "Nubby" Gesin and a sister Evelyn Host.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper, PA. A private burial will take place in Washington Cemetery in Frills Corners, PA.
