Sherry Lee Cornecki, 79, of Vowinckel passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, following a courageous 5-year battle with cancer.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Cornecki, her sister Lynda Young, her parents Bette and Melvin Dillon, and her stepmother June Dillon.

She is survived by her son, her pride and joy, Ryan Cornecki and his wife Robin of Vowinckel, devoted brother-in-law Bill Young of Shippenville, niece Heather Geer and her husband Troy of Tionesta, and niece HaiLee Young of Shippenville.

Sherry has two incredibly loved granddaughters, Reese and Raquelle Cornecki, a great-

niece Autumn Young, and two great-nephews Dillon and Austin Geer who she loved to

remind that only the best aunts become great aunts…it was true indeed.

Sherry attended Robert Morris University and earned a degree in business. She worked

for Westinghouse in Beaver before moving to Vowinckel to help with her father's business

adventures. After the death of her father and in pursuit of her own dreams, she opened

Sher-Lynn's Crown Mercantile with the help of her husband, sister, and brother-in-law. It

was there; she touched the lives of so many in the area. The friendships created in that

store were unimaginable and she treasured every one of them.

Sherry loved the Lord with all her heart. In her final days, she said she just wanted to be

remembered as a testimony for the Lord. She truly loved the life God gave her. She lived it

to the fullest. She enjoyed watching God's beautiful birds and butterflies.

She loved creating something out of nothing. She loved auctions and a 'good deal.' She

enjoyed making things beautiful and by beautiful she often meant giving it sparkle. She

never once lost her shine, her grace, or her sparkle here on earth. We know she's shining

bright in heaven, helping to light it up a little more.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 5th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc.

in Leeper. A funeral service will be held following visitation at 6:00 p.m.
