Dennis "Denny" M. Wagner, 90, of Shippenville, PA passed peacefully at home on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Denny was born on August 29, 1935, in Shippenville, to the late Lewis and Lucille (Bains) Wagner.
He joined the U.S. Marine Corps. on May 19, 1954, until May 18, 1962, where he earned a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.
During his military career he took the time to marry the love of his life, Laura Bell, on September 7, 1957, at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, PA. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2012.
Denny had worked at Knox Glass until 1986, when it closed. After that, he worked side jobs that kept him busy. He enjoyed working on small motors, he could fix any of them. Denny also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western movies and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion, PA.
Surviving him are his sons: Kenneth Wagner and his companion, Brenda Dolby and Raymond Wagner and his wife Kathryn, all of Shippenville, PA; grandchildren: Nicole Wagner (Rion Johnson), Meriah Newton (Greg Burkett), and Kirsten Wolff (Matthew Rimmel) and their son, Konnor; siblings: Charles (Carol) Wagner, Lewis (Cathy) Wagner, William (Carol) Wagner, Luella (Dana) Beichner, and Lucille Croyle; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece who visited him often, Paula Reed; and Sue Hunt, which was his late son, Stephen's companion.
In addition to his parents and wife, Denny was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Wagner and a sister and her husband, Marie and Dick LaVan.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper, PA. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 66 on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 5:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00am at the funeral home, with Father Brandon Kleckner, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clarion, PA.
