Kimberly Ann Miller Obituary

Kimberly Ann Miller, 71, of Leeper PA, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA, following a brief illness

She was born on September 27, 1953, in Oil City, PA to Vaughn Cook and Louise JoAnn (Walker) Miller, who preceded her in death.

Kim graduated from North Clarion High School. After high school, she went on to attend Clarion University where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Kim then furthered her education and obtained a master's degree in reading, becoming a reading specialist. She worked for North Clarion School District, St. Joseph Catholic School and St Michael Catholic School where she provided reading support. Kim was also a painting contractor which started well before her teaching career and ended the day before her illness.

Kim was a fierce environmentalist. She travelled to Washington D.C. after being asked by the former Congressman Clinger to provide testimony for the proposed Wild and Scenic River Designation for the Clarion River. She was also an active member of P.E.A.C.E., which helped stop the toxic waste incinerator in Clarion County.

She loved to work, but what she loved most and made her the happiest was when the entire family was together sharing many laughs and making memories.

Kim is survived by her siblings: Philip Miller of Port Orange, FL, Jonanthan Miller and his wife Julie of Leeper, PA and David Miller (Alta) also of Leeper, PA; nieces and nephews: Megan Hungiville of Smethport, PA, Jeremy (Shelly) Miller of Leeper, PA, Tyler (Ashley) Miller of South Park, PA; Great nieces and nephews: Josh, Elizabeth, Zach, and Wyatt Hungiville, McKenzie, Elijah, and Sydney Miller, and Quinn and Connor Miller.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc., in Leeper, PA.
