
Obituary of Roxanne Murphy

Roxanne Murphy, 73, of Lucinda, PA began her eternal life with the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2025, with her family by her side.
She was born in Brookville, PA on September 9, 1951, to the late Francis "Wick" and Grace A. (Judy) Ochs.
Roxanne graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in 1969, where she met the love of her life and her high school sweetheart, Richard J. Murphy, who survives. Roxanne and Richard married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda, PA on August 4, 1973, they would've celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this year.
She worked at Ray's Restaurant for 9 years, then went on to be shift manager at Pizza Hut for 18 years at the Shippenville and Clarion locations. She retired at the age of 70. When she wasn't working, she would help with the sports raffles at the Lucinda Antler Club and at the July 4th Celebration at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Roxanne loved fishing, especially with her son Ryan, they went every day when he was little. Her and Rick were best fishing buddies. She loved ATV riding, well pretty much anything with wheels and speed. She even brought Ryan home from the hospital after he was born in her 1977 Cobra II Mustang. Roxanne loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Ryan J. Murphy and his wife Aubrey of Worthville, PA; granddaughters: Brooklynn, Autumn and Dakota Murphy all of Worthville, PA; siblings: Judy Siegel, Gary Ochs and special friend Max, Larry Ochs and his wife Linda, and Lisa Eisenman and her husband Mark all of Lucinda, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a sister, Linda A. Ochs, a niece, Julie Ann Carroll and a brother-in-law, John Siegel.
Family and friends will be received from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 112 Rectory Lane, Lucinda, PA 16235. A memorial mass will immediately follow at the church at 11:00am with Rev. Michael Polinek, pastor, as celebrant. Inurnment will take place following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it was Roxanne's request, that memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
