Thelma "Toni" M. Fickenworth, 79, of Tylersburg, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Snyder Memorial Health Care in Marienville, PA.

Toni was born on April 26, 1945, in Reynoldsville, PA, to the late Joseph R. and Agnes M. (Armagost) Grace.

She married the first love of her life on June 13, 1964, John "TJ" L. Fickenworth, who preceded her in death on June 24, 2002.

Toni had gone to college for 4 years and became a social worker. She was employed at Clarion Forest VNA, Erie Homes for Children and Venango County Association for the Blind, which she retired from there in 2009. Toni and her husband, John, had also owned TJ's Country Inn in Tylersburg, PA and Wattsburg Hotel.

She was also a volunteer at Clarion Forest VNA and Hospice, a member of the Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Department women's auxiliary where she helped with their chicken barbeque, the Red Hatters and Forest Foxes of Marienville.

Toni was such a loving and caring sole with a big heart, those who were fortunate enough to know her absolutely loved her. She valued and cherished her time spent with her family and friends. Toni was always volunteering her time just to help others. When she was not spending her time volunteering, she was known to shop for a good bargain.

After a period of declining health, Toni was able to stay in her own home as long as possible with her daughter and son in law, Sylvia and Jay, staying with her and caring for her the last 3 years until this recent short stay at Snyder Memorial Health Care.

Toni is survived by her daughters: Theresa (John) Stoughton Lickingville, PA and Sylvia (Jay) Lesko of Tionesta, PA; grandchildren: Shayla Ricky Ganci, Bri and Tyler Walker, Joshua Fickenworth, Lawrence "LJ" Fickenworth, Brinnlyn Bish, Aquila Lesko, Eden (Harley) Cook, Dalton (Megan) Lesko and Riley Kathleen Lesko; 7 great grandchildren; siblings: William "Bill" Grace and Mary Burdette; her loving partner of 16 years, Ron Wetzel of Callensburg, PA and his daughter, Bonnie (Barry) Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John J. Fickenworth who passed on December 23, 2020, her brothers: Joseph, Francis, Arthur, and John Grace and a sister Rose Mary Douglas.

Per Toni's wishes, a celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Borland-Ensminger Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper, PA was entrusted with the arrangements.
