Obituary of Clyde J. Seigworth

Clyde J. Seigworth, 81, of Tionesta, died unexpectedly late Sunday evening, June 15, 2014, at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo, following heart surgery. Born August 31, 1932 in Lickingville, he was the son of the late Clarence A. & Elizabeth Donahue Seigworth. Clyde married the former Kay Heasley on October 20, 1956 at St. Mary Church in Crown with Father Schriefer, presiding. Mr. Seigworth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1991 from JM Manufacturing in Franklin. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Crown and a member of St. Huebert Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a lifetime member of the Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his wife, Clyde is survived by a sister, Rhea Mahle of Cleveland , Ohio and 3 brothers, Reid Seigworth of California, Clarence Seigworth, Jr. of Tionesta and David Seigworth and his wife, Chris of Arizona. In addition to his parents, Mr. Seigworth was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James & Bernard Seigworth. Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 on Wednesday, June 18, at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown with Rev. Gregory Passauer, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 41, Crown, PA 16220 or Charitable Deeds, 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox, PA 16232.
